so it’s that time of year that Student Life is super crazy because of all the summer camp preparation… running lines, cue-to-cues, “romancing the customer” talks, Shocco, and “bad things that happened last year” lectures. for the last three years, I’ve had the opportunity to be in the middle of all of that, but this year is a little different. this post is to officially commemorate Student Life Camp and all of the energy that goes into reaching thousands of students every year… Thank you, Student Life… Bye for now.

My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of “just” and “unjust”?… What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust?… Of Course, I could have given up my idea of justice by saying it was nothing but a private idea of my own. But if I did that, then my argument against God collasped too – for the argument depended on saying that the world is really unjust, not simply that it did not happen to please my private fancies… Consequently athesim turns out to be too simple.

I am officially finished with the spring semester; although, I’m careful about broadcasting this news. my final project for a 3d design class was quite a new experience for me; haven’t spent much time in basements using saws and gluing wood together. this piece was first inspired by Sol LeWitt, and is by far, the largest piece I’ve done… what else can I say about it, I try to be a simple guy.

so yesterday I had the opportunity to be dp for a documentary shoot at Minor High School. I worked with my professor, June Mack, to capture some of the attempts of the students against youth violence. I knew I was scheduled to shoot at a high school, but I don’t think I had fully grasped the idea when I found myself in the very middle of several hundred rowdy teenagers in a lunchroom on a friday… and of course, I’ve got the camera in my hand! it was a great experience, and I look forward to the release of the documentary.
